Water is another image of our Brigidine tradition. Wells are sacred places of pilgrimage, prayer and healing. Not far out of the market town of Kildare is a sacred place surrounded by green fields. Its peace and solitude sweep over you as you cross the spot where, in ancient times, Brigid’s double monastery once stood.
